Upper	Calf Leather
Lining	Full Leather	Lining The Lining is the material used on the inside of the shoes which rests against the foot during wear. Full Leather lining This is regarded as the best finish to have, the complete interior of the shoe is lined with leather which gives comfort & absorbs the moisture given off from the foot during wear. 1/2 Leather lining The fore part of the shoe has a cotton or linen lining & from the waist of the shoe back to the heel is leather.
Sole	Goodyear Welted Channel Stitched Sole	Soles and Heels The Lining is the material used on the inside of the shoes which rests against the foot during wear. Heel	Leather 1/4 Rubber Tip	Soles and Heels Goodyear welted leather sole This is what Northampton manufactures are traditionally known for. The sole is stitched to a welt which means the shoe gives great comfort & excellent shape retention. Welted Rubber soles This is similar to the “Goodyear welted Leather sole” construction except the sole material is Rubber giving harder wear & better water resistant properties. Leather Sole Rubber Fore Part This gives all the benefits of a leather sole but the added flexibility & durability of a rubber fore part. Cemented Leather Sole A construction using specialised adhesives in place of stitched welts to bond the upper to the sole. This gives lightness in weight & appearance that the welted construction cannot. Moccasin Construction This provides a very light flexible & comfortable shoe. A bag of Leather is formed by Hand stitching an apron & the sole is then stitched or glued to the upper.
Last	Z401 Last	Last The LAST is the foot shape that the shoe uppers are pulled over & secured on during manufacturing to obtain the shape. The lasts are given numbers or names to denote their individual characteristics such as toe shape & depth etc. Traditional Lasts are made from wood but now more commonly plastic ones are used these days.

As part of the Handgrade collection we are proud to add a single monk style with delicate brogueing, featuring an exclusive blue sole made specifically for us. This elevated range is the perfect place to explore the more custom end of shoe design and move away from simply offering the plain classics. This monk shoe has subtle hand-burnishing, a high-shine toe, delicate punching and an in-channel stitched sole making this peerless. Please note that all closed-channel or in-channel stitching will eventually become visible with wear as the leather is worn away. These shoes are hand-patinated individually in the Carlos Santos factory so there can be a small variation of colour from the shoes you receive to the picture on the website. We always strive to get consistency but in a hand-patinated product this is not always possible and is a sign of quality. Please note that we would only advise using a gentle wax-based cream or polish to protect carefully hand-finished shoes such as these. Harsh products such as renovating creams, high solvent based products and rain protectors may strip the carefully applied finish. If this happens we will not be able to refund the shoes although we may be able to get them re-finished at the factory for you at your cost. This product has a 3D model: this means that you can see it from 360° by moving it with your mouse or screen, use AR view to see it in 'real life' (such as next to your favourite suit or jeans), or even use Try on to point your phone at your feet and virtually try a pair on. Standard delivery to the United States is £27.50. Lower rates may apply for orders of small items - check your basket for details.

Shoes that are made to fit the same size foot will vary in physical size due to differences in last (shoe) shapes. For this reason we cannot measure shoes to fit your feet.

Please note that F is the normal width fitting. if you do not usually buy wider fitting shoes and you don’t struggle buying off the shelf shoes that fit you, please order F fitting. If you do have wider feet and find you often need to size up to get the width right, then G would be more suitable as they are 3-5mm wider without the added length.

I received my shoes faster than I would get something form the next town over in the USA.I still don't know how you do that? I always liked the English shoe look for years and had to spend a lot more money to get that look. These King Edward the II shoes are not only great looking but a great shoe overall. The price is about 1/2 of what I would pay for a less inferior shoe. I just ordered two other pairs and one was on sale. To be quite candid, it is almost like I'm stealing.
