About Church's shoes

From a humble beginning in a small Northampton workshop in 1873, the Church’s brand has grown into an internationally renowned name in high-quality fashionable men's footwear. It is now one of the oldest shoemakers in the UK and retains its strong focus on classic shoe design and traditional British manufacturing techniques, with fashionable updates for each new season.

Church’s custom grade

Church’s custom grade stamp is a mark of excellence, designed for the discerning man looking for classic shoe styles to complement any outfit. The collection features the finest materials, from smooth, naturally finished calf leather to the softest suede and all feature the Church’s custom grade stamp on their leather sole. Calfskin is one of the finest materials for shoemaking as it quickly moulds to the wearer’s foot and holds its shape more effectively than any other material on the market. Nothing is compromised on during the manufacture of Church’s shoes either. Each pair is handmade by expert shoemakers using the Goodyear welting technique, where the shoe’s outsole, insole and upper are stitched together. This helps to increase the shoe’s durability and longevity.

The collection ranges from the modern Oxford and more formal styling of the brogue to the robust desert boot and more casual loafer style.

Church’s office shoes

However formal you like your business dress, Church’s office range has a variety of styles perfect for days in the office, attending important meetings and entertaining clients. The contoured fit of the Oxford makes it a sophisticated choice for office wear or more formal occasions, such as black-tie events. The minimal silhouette hugs the curve of the foot for a sleek line and when worn with straight cut trousers, the Oxford style helps to visually lengthen the legs. The Oxford is available with full brogue detailing, a half brogue design or a more simple design around the toe cap.

Designed for those with a higher instep, the Derby’s open-lacing construction makes it more comfortable for gentlemen looking for a wider fit. The design features classic lines and open lacing, with a versatile look that works perfectly with both smart, business dress and more casual work occasions. This versatility also makes it the perfect all-rounder, for style in and out of the office.

More alternative style-seekers will love Church’s range of Monk Strap shoes. This design replaces the laces with one or two straps for a real statement look. Very popular in the 1920s, this look is quickly coming back into fashion. Opt for designs with a single strap for a streamlined, classical appearance or make a bold modern statement with a double strap.

The tassel loafer pairs perfectly with more casual business dress or a lightweight linen suit for a smart summer look. For those looking for a slip-on shoe to wear to a black-tie event, Church’s Venetian loafer style offers wearers a slipper-like appearance with an unadorned vamp.

Church’s slippers

Combine comfort and style with Church’s range of soft slippers. Available in soft Nappa leather, suede or jacquard silk, these elegant slippers are made for lounging, without ever compromising on style. With quilted leather linings and sturdy, non-slip soles, they are ideal for wearing around the house or when travelling for work or pleasure.

Church’s is famed for crafting the most luxurious footwear on the market, made using traditional British techniques, and its slippers are no exception. Constructed with a moccasin design, using a single piece of leather to encase the foot, the Church’s house slipper is supple, lightweight and easy to slip on and off the foot. For comfort, style and breathability, Church’s slippers range is a great place to start.

Accessories

Church’s has a range of soft leather accessories designed to perfectly complement its range of smart and stylish shoes.

It’s traditional to finish an outfit off by matching your belt to your shoes. Church’s allows you to do exactly that with its wide range of belts, available in a variety of finishes. From brightly coloured suede to polished leather, the collection has everything a man needs to create the perfect look.

New styles

Church’s prides itself on putting fashionable twists on classic footwear designs, with each new season’s collection reflecting the latest fashions and changing weather conditions. Take on anything the British weather has in store for you with the storm welted rubber soles of the Church & Co collection, designed to provide robust grip in all conditions. The collection features many of the classic Church’s designs, including Chelsea Boots, Oxfords and Monk Strap, all with the benefits of hard wearing, rugged soles.

The Spring/ Summer collections combine flexible soles with soft, supple materials to ensure they can take wearers from the boardroom to the beach. Introducing buttery-soft, brightly coloured suede and leather into its loafer and boat shoe collections brings these traditional designs bang up to date.
